Roger G. Noll is the Morris M. Doyle Professor of Public Policy in the Department of Economics, the director of the Public Policy Program, and professor by courtesy in the Department of Political Science at the Graduate School of Business at Stanford University. He is the author or editor of twelve books and over 200 articles on the economics and politics of public policy in journals and periodicals such as Scientific American, the Yale Journal on Regulation, the Journal of Risk and Uncertainty, and the American Economic Review. He also serves on the Secretary of Energy's advisory board. Mr. Noll's most recent publications deal with the political causes and economic consequences of administrative procedures, the economics of publicly subsidized sports facilities, the management of research universities, and new policy issues created by technological progress in communications. Currently, his research addresses comparative international studies of regulatory reform, with a focus on telecommunications policy.
