Federal environmental, health, and safety regulation costs society over $200 billion dollars annually. Are we sure that this money is being invested wisely? Regulators face many challenges, including selecting regulations that have high social returns and promoting transparency in regulatory decisionmaking. Experts will evaluate whether or not federal regulators have been successful in improving social regulation and suggest changes for the future.
